About our services
Setups:
All guitars that come in and out of the shop are subject to setup inspection, unless specifically noted. Work isn’t properly completed on a guitar at Andrew’s Guitar Repair unless it plays and sounds as nice as possible. This includes the truss rod adjustment, action adjustment, intonation at the bridge, the height of the nut slots, the pickup volumes and distances from the strings.
Electronics/ Cavity routing:
I’m proud to offer complete electronic repair for guitar and bass, and other instruments as well. Anything from a simple output jack to installing switching circuits and preamps, as well as pickup rewinding and repair.
Need an extra pickup or a battery box? Or maybe just get some large electronics to fit in a pre-existing space? I’m able to make that space appear, depending on structural integrity of the instrument.
Fretwork / Nut and Saddle:
Fretwork is the most essential key to getting a guitar playing smooth and correctly. At the shop we can take care of sharp fret ends, loose frets, leveling high/low frets, and even full refrets, fretboard leveling, and fretless conversions.
Replacing the nut and saddle can be necessary on some guitars to correct intonation issues, tuning instability, buzzing strings, string spacing, improving acoustic guitar tone and much more. Getting a quality material like TUSQ or bone is a must-have for some guitars.
Structural Repairs:
Headstock repairs, bridge regluing, crack repair and cleat installs, binding repair, and whatever else needs re-done on a guitar to make it right again. Here is where the real work gets done in the shop. These processes can be time consuming and extensive, with the intention of leaving no stone unturned and doing a quality, reliable job.

About me
Hello, my name is Andrew Wagner and I have been working on guitars for going on a decade now. Guitar is my passion, and making them right is my game.
I graduated from The Galloup School of Luthierie in 2021, after having completed my master’s course. The past few years have been spent honing my skills with private customers and local bands. I’ve lived in Yellow Springs for the past five years and getting more familiar with the area every day.
I’m excited to offer my services to the South West of Ohio. It’s my understanding that this area has been left underserviced for a long time, so I’m happy to finally fill the space needed by our local musicians.
